August Jewish Film Series: Screening of '93Queen'

6:30 PM - 8:00 PMPlease join us for the first screening of our August Jewish Films Series at Beth Jacob Synagogue. Today we will be screening 93Queen, which follows Rachel Freier, a no-nonsense Hasidic lawyer and mother of six who is determined to shake up the “boys club” in her Hasidic community by creating Ezras Nashim, the first all-female ambulance corps in NYC. This event is a collaboration with the award-winning documentary series POV (www.pbs.org/pov)

Following the screening there will be a Q&A session to answer all of your natural burial questions. If you are not familiar with the Vermont Forest Cemetery, you can find more information here. Words to songs are supplied in Hebrew and transliteration. All are welcomed whatever your experience may be. We do not offer instructions or guided meditations.
