Privacy & Security Policies
We respect your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site, for example when you register for an event, we collect your name and email address. The company that hosts our website also automatically receives and records information in server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell any of your personally identifiable information to anyone.
Your payment and personal information is protected by our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software. It is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet. Beth Jacob Synagogue does not keep any credit card numbers. All credit card tranasctions are handled by Heartland Processing System, a national credit card processor.
We do not provide refunds of donations or membership dues, which are considered charitable donations. We will provide refunds of fees for events that are cancelled by the synagogue, unless otherwise noted on the event sign-up page. Also, if you sign up for an event and notify us a reasonable time before the event takes place, we will refund the event fee.
